*MUSIC

Music, another form of the arts and imagination, is one of the greatest escapes. People have been making mixed tapes, mixed CD’s and now mixed playlists forever now because it is a way to truly express yourself and often daydream.  I know for me, i get some of my best ideas and thoughts through music or silence.  One or the other but Music inspires people through the lyrics, vocals and instruments of artists.  My music taste has an extremely wide range from the 1950′s to 2009, jazz to hip hop, indie to rock; i pretty much love it all because i feel that there is a Song for every Mood.  My playlists go by the different “moods” that people have, because how many times have you gone to your iPod of thousands of songs, knowing you loved all of them, but you were…. happy and you only wanted happy songs.  Or you were sad and you only wanted sad songs? There’s a music tune to the awakening of the first days in Spring and Autumn.  There is a tune to Rainy Days and one for going to sleep or relaxing.  Maybe its from working in film that i know how Music Coordinators arrange the song to the mood, so here i have decided to  post some of the songs from my playlists- obviously not all of them, just a few for each ( that would take far too long and too much space!)and maybe i’ll add as i go throught my “Blogger” life.  But enjoy, and let me know what you think, like or dislike.

I love recycling through my music.  After you go long enough without listening to a record, you come back to it months or years later, almost rediscovering that feeling you got when first listening to it.  I saw the trailer for “Another Earth” and saw the song they used in the trailer was by The Cinematic Orchestra.  The album came out in 2007 and I hadn’t listened to it in a while.  So I went back and was grateful all over again for the gift of hearing.

  4. Love “The Winner Is”, but hate when itunes and Amazon make you buy an entire album for one song. Guess they don’t really want to stop illegal downloads:-)

  5. This was…ahem, before your time, but you might enjoy My Bloody Valentine, particularilly their ‘Loveless’ album:

If you like soundtracks–and their derivatives–check out The Caretaker:

This is, obviously, inspired by The Shining; some of the project’s tracks use material from it.

I wish you success with your career. You’re a talented, personable and very lovely young actress.
